Recently visited objects

SAP CPQ will display list of recently visited items in the widget on the left side of the screen. In this widget, users can see products, categories, quotes they have recently visited and documents they have recently created. Recent Items part of the widget will have 20 items displayed in it by default. Whether ‘Recent Items’ will be displayed to users will be controlled with new application parameter ‘Display List Of Recent Items To Users’ (that will be found in SAP CPQ Setup → General → General Parameters). Default value for all tenants will be TRUE.

Items will be dynamically added to the widget. This means that user can see all items stored in Recent Items cache (if she wants to) by going far back enough.

When user clicks on the quote in the ‘Recent’ widget, she will be redirected to this quote (‘Edit’ action will be executed). If user doesn’t have ‘Edit’ action available any more on the quote, message ‘You currently don't have permissions to view this quote. If you have any question please contact your system administrator.’ will be displayed in pop-up error message window. User will stay in the same page from where she tried to enter this quote.

When user clicks on the product found in the widget, SAP CPQ will redirect user to the product configuration page. When simple product is found in the ‘Recent Items’ widget and user clicks on it, pop-up with ‘View Details’ page will be displayed to the user. On this page, button ‘Add to quote’ will be displayed instead of check boxes ‘Add to quote’ and ‘Add to compare’ If product doesn’t exist anymore in the system (or is no longer visible) to user, message ‘You currently don't have permissions to view this product. If you have any question please contact your system administrator.’ will be displayed in pop-up error message window.

When user clicks on the category in the ‘Recent’ widget, SAP CPQ will redirect user to this category (in the same way as if user manually found it). If category doesn’t exist anymore in the system (or is no longer visible) to user, message ‘This category is no longer accessible to you'.

When users click on link for generated document, it will be downloaded to user’s browser and user will stay on the current page. Users will be able to download documents to tablet devices. If document doesn’t exist anymore in the system, message ‘This document doesn’t exist in the system anymore’ will be displayed in pop-up error message window and user will stay in the same page from where she tried to download the document.
