Managing Your Password

SAP CPQ users can reset forgotten passwords, and administrators can change the passwords of their underlying users.

If you forgot your password, take the following steps to reset it and regain access to your account.

  1. On the login page, click Forgot your password?.
    You are redirected to a new page.
  2. Enter your email and the domain name.
  3. Click Submit.
    Instructions on how to reset your password are sent to your email address.
  4. Go to your inbox and find an email with the subject Reset your password.
  5. Click the Reset Password button in the email or copy and paste the provided link to your browser.
    You are redirected to a new page.
    Note: The password reset link is valid for 30 minutes.
  6. Enter your username and your new password in the dedicated fields.
    To ensure your new password meets the required criteria, refer to the Password Requirements section.
  7. Click Submit.
    You are redirected to the login page and receive an email stating that the password is successfully changed.
  8. Go to the login page and use your new password to log in.

If you attempt to reset your password three times within five minutes, you will have to wait an hour before submitting a new password reset request.

Password Requirements

Passwords in SAP CPQ must conform to the following rules:

  • must be between 8 and 50 characters in length
  • may contain only the following characters: a-z, A-Z, 0-9
  • may contain the following symbols: $@!%*#?&
  • cannot match the previous password
  • cannot contain your username

Change Your Password

After logging into SAP CPQ, you can easily change your password in User Page or in user settings in Setup. We advise changing the password regularly to ensure better security and protect the privacy of your data.

User Page

  1. Click your name in the top right corner.
    A menu displays.
  2. Click User Page.
  3. Access the Modify Password tab.
  4. Enter your username, the current and the new password.
  5. Click Change Password.
    A confirmation message displays.


In Setup, you can change your password and the password of your underlying users.

  1. Access Setup > Users > Users.
    A list of users displays.
  2. Click ch_edit_icon.jpg next to a user.
  3. In Password and Retype Password enter the new password.
  4. Click Save.
    Your password is updated.
